Changing strings might seem to be mundane, but a well-executed string replacement can yield a substantial transformation in your instrument. For new players, and among seasoned players. There are those who may not excel at string changing, nor realize how important a string change can be, let alone the intricacies and importance of a top-notch instrument setup (full setup not included in this package). This observation is not at all intended as a criticism, we all possess varying degrees of skills and aptitudes that span a wide spectrum. This package also includes a very lite setup, but this is not a true setup, please see The Comprehensive Setup below. A true setup must include some fret leveling and nut slot depth/ height filing, among other important things.

• Consultation about what you and your instrument needs.

• Basic, but detailed cleaning of the entire instrument.

• Basic, but detailed hand polishing of the entire instrument.

• Basic, but detailed cleaning of the hardware.

• Any plastic left-over stuck in the screw holes eliminated, (If you are as fastidious as I, you know exactly what I mean).

 

• Fingerboard cleaned

• Fingerboard conditioned.

• Basic fret polishing, (please see Regarding Frets).​

• Basic radius adjustment of the saddles to the fingerboard radius.

​

• Basic "quick" saddle height adjustment for better action.

​

• Set optimal truss rod relief.

• Smooth-out nut slots.

​

• Nut lubrication.

​

• Re-string.

• String stretching.

• Balance Tremolo (If applicable).

• Strobe Intonation and positioning of floating bridge (Arch-top Guitars).

• Strobe intonation of the saddles

• Tighten any loose hardware (especially for tuning machines that have a screw in the top of the tuning button).

• Strobe tuning. 

​

• Pots, switches, jack, electronics cleaned with DeoxIT D5.
